Lifelong residents of Indiana, Mike and Patsy moved to Lafayette in 1977 when Mike attended Purdue University. Though majoring in Ag Economics, Mike's real interest was in cars. After Purdue he took a job with one of the local car dealerships in their body shop and after a short time was promoted to body shop manager and then to Collision Repair Director at one of the largest car dealerships in the midwest. It wasn't long, however, until it was time for a new challenge.
In 1992 Mike, Patsy and their two sons, Zach, then age 7 and Nick, then age 2, started Twin City Collision Repair, Inc. It was a rather humble beginning in a 4,800 square foot rented building and a staff of three, one of them being Mike. They began production in June and turned a profit the first month. Not much of a profit, but a profit nonetheless and the business began to grow.
